Obituary - My Little Car

(apologies for the terrible blurring of the number plate - I do not have fancy photo software on my laptop - only paintbrush!)

My little car is no more. It was bound to happen eventually but thanks to some idiot who tried (and failed) to break into my little car, it has been financially written off and is now off to the salvage yard.

Its annoying as I would have preferred to have parted ways with my car when I was ready and not so soon after buying a house. What is even more annoying is the fact the idiots who tried to steal it wouldn't have got far as it was fitted with a Thatcham CAT1 alarm and immobiliser so unless they were amazing car thieves (which I doubt as they went for the drivers door which is deadlocked and cannot be opened from the inside), they were not going to get very far.

But it has been a great little car. I bought the car in 2001 thanks to my Dad and Nan (who sadly passed away before I got the chance to show her the car). Its done well to last me this long. Its trips have included Northampton (many times), Kings Lynn, the Isle of Wight, Folkestone, Dover, Birmingham, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Bognor, Poole, Nowton and many, many more.

Its lasted me well and I am sad to see it go.

But I have to move on. I am picking up my new car next weekend (thanks dad!!!) and I am quite excited about that!
