A Cold Day In Greenwich

As part of the New Year List Challenge, myself and my best friend Tadders decided to ditch watching T4 the girls night and instead ventured into Greenwich for a spot of market shopping and for a wander round some of the historical elements the town has to boast.

First and foremost, it was coffee in Starbucks to warm up before embarking on the market. The market was busy as ever. I love the market as there are some many brilliant things on offer. I did come across Raw Chocolate which was chocolate without refined sugar so therefore allowed under the Sweet Detox rules but I forgot to go back and get some due to the quest to find a new thumb ring. My beloved left thumb ring cracked and split a few months back and despite taking it to be repaired, it broke again. But PM promised to buy me a new one and eventually I found one (after looking round all the jewellery stall I kept picking this one up):

Its brushed silver and rather plain for me but its chunky and different so I love it.

After the main market we went on a wander in search of earmuffs, yes EARMUFFS. Just because I am 27 does not mean my ears do not get cold when its freezing outside! Eventually we found some tucked away in King William Walk Market. £3 - Bargain! As you can see me and Tadders made use of them straight away!

After that, a quick trip to Weatherspoons for a cheap cup of tea and some garlic bread, and then off up to the park to wander round Greenwich's most famous land mark - The Meridian Line.

It was just starting to snow when we looked out onto this amazing site:

All in all a fun day out but we are planning a return trip in the summer so we can take full advantage of the outdoors!
