Watchmen

On Wednesday I ventured over to Lakeside to meet my brother to go and see Watchmen. Almost everyone I know has seen it already and remarked on naked blue penises while I sit there wondering what all the fuss is about.

I confess that I have not yet read the book so I am not in a position to comment on how true to the book the film is.

The opening sequence was pretty amazing. The alternative history of America followed by the excellent opening fight scene.

I sat glued to the screen wondering what was going to happen next. I loved it from beginning to end.

My favourite scene was probably a super sized Dr Manhattan and the Comedian coming out of fire to the Ride of the Valkyrie's blowing up Vietnamese army personnel. That did make me chuckle.

I highly recommend going and seeing it.
