Friday Track

Ok, there hasn't been much that has grabbed me that much recently hence the lack of Friday Tracks.

Plan B is one of those artists who somehow manages to appeal to a very wide audience. All the guys I know who like RnB are into him understandably but then my brother was into him when Who Needs Actions When You Got Words and David has a very eclectic taste in music, @chrisnotwell love the Defamation of Strickland Banks, and my mum also has the album.

It's taken me a while to get into his last album but I do really enjoy it. But the latest offering Ill Manors has really grabbed me although I have absolutely no idea why. With such a strong political statement perhaps it appeals to my punk roots? I really don't know but I love it. It's fairly hard hitting and the video features a lot of footage from last year's riots. My take on the track is that it encapsulates the gulf of difference between those in power and the working class.

There are a number of remixes but I have gone for the original. I do recommend the Prodigy remix though.
