Running Playlists

Following the Christmas period and brief bout of tonsilitis, I am now getting into my training plan for the marathon. It’s not quite been the start I was hoping for but at least I am getting out and running.

One thing that is imperitive to keeping me going whilst out running around like a lunatic is a decent playlist on my ipod.

I am in the process of putting together a list but would love some additional inspiration to come up with something awesome to keep me going when my muscles are screaming at me and I start to wonder why I let the nice guy at Cancer Research talk me into running a bloody marathon.
So far on my list is:

Get Up! – Korn feat Skrillex
A Lesson Never Learned – Asking Alexandria (Celldweller remix) (metal track. dubstep remix)
Access Granted – The Algorithm (so many different genres of music in one track – a good one for interval training)
Follow Me – Muse
The 2nd Law: Unsustainable – Muse
Never Wanted to Dance – Mindless Self Indulgence
Lights out - Mindless Self Indulgence
Shut me up - Mindless Self Indulgence
Stupid MF - Mindless Self Indulgence
You’ll Rebel to Anything - Mindless Self Indulgence
Omen – Prodigy
No Good (Start the Dance) - Prodigy
Charly - Prodigy
Out of Space – Prodigy
Disowned Inc – Serj Tankian
Sonething Good ’08 – Utah Saints (a bit of old school dancy goodness)
…Meltdown – Enter Shikari
Gandhi mate, Gandhi – Enter Shikari
Sleeping Giants – Hyro Da Hero
Beam me up Scotty – Hyro Da Hero
Halo – Soil (just because it makes me smile when it comes on)
Time to Burn – Storm (we always played this track during kickboxing training at Uni so I always associate it now with exercise)
Song 2 – Blur

A bit of a mis-mash. I feel there needs to be some Dragonforce on there somewhere just for pure mental sessions. But what else? PLEASE give me some ideas. No cheesy dance tracks please (I am not buying anything I wouldn’t normally listen to. By this I mean tracks by Basshunter and the like). Are there some metal/dance cross over bands I am overlooking? Old school 90’s dance is ok and I welcome ideas on that front. Was thinking some Apollo 440 might have to feature and maybe Bombfunk MC’s.
To assist me compile a list I have set up a collaborative playlist on Spotify:

Please feel free to add to this. Alternatively add your track recommendations in the comments below!
