Top Ten Albums of the Year 2015 - Honourable Mentions

I didn't get round to posting about my albums of the year last year (or for the past couple of years it would appear!) and I am really gutted I didn't. It is an exercise I have been doing since 2007, thanks to the people at my old work. They were still compiled but only in spreadsheet form (which was lost with my bloody USB key along with all my wedding planning!).

As always,  I kick off with the honourable mentions - the albums I purchased this year but have not made my top 10.

I didn't think I had actually bought that many albums this year but I had a lot more than I thought which meant deciding on the top ten was infinitely harder!

Enter Shikari - The Mindsweep : Sadly this album is not as strong as it's predecessor. I loved a Flash Flood of Colour but I have found it hard to love this album in the same way. Still a great album with some great tracks though.

Iron Maiden - Book of Souls : Classic Maiden. Just missing out on a top ten spot.

Idlewild - Everything Ever Written : Great come back album and I had the pleasure of seeing them live at the BrewDog AGM earlier in the year. Absolutely love first track Collect Yourself.

Refused - Freedom : It was a long time in the making and it certainly is amazing from the fantastic opening track of Elektra but just misses out on a top 10 spot.

Also purchased this year are albums by The Winery Dogs, Wolf Alice, Tesseract, Coal Chamber, Sylosis and As It Is. Not a bad bunch for the year it has to be said!
